Hello to all you bloggers and readers out there. If you’re on this website, then you have some common interests with me about fashion and makeup, girly stuff. My name is Amy Iglesias, yes the same surname as that great Spanish singer, but no relation, unfortunately. I’m a 22-year-old Personal Fashion Assitant living in Oxford. It’s a really pretty University City, with the famous Oxford University located here. There are only three of us working for a little firm that specialises in helping women to look good.
We assist with colour matching, clothing, accessories and makeup. It’s a really excellent job. I qualified as a beautician a year ago from one of the technical colleges, and this is my first job. We get women of all ages coming to us wanting to look better, and sometimes it’s a complete changeover and other times we just help them with some subtle additions to makeup or clothing that will alter their appearance.
They say fashion is a personality you can buy, and there is some truth in that. The clothes a person wears reflects their personality to a degree so it makes sense that if you change your clothes a bit, then your character will change along with it. Clothing Is not expensive and in this country we buy a lot of clothes. There was a statistic that said we buy about 55 garments per person. Clothing is incredibly cheap which for the consumer is fantastic. The thing is that trendy clothing is cheap and cheap clothing is trendy. Whenever I’m looking to do a clothing haul I always check Only Reviews first to make sure I’m getting the best deal.
Fast fashion retailers produce stylish clothing for very low costs, and a part of the appeal of big brands is that there is always something new to buy. A dress can go from a sketch to the rack in as little as three weeks. Prices are so competitive but most fast fashion companies are also massively profitable. A good aspect of clothing is that Fashion goes through cycles, some with short lifespans but there’s always a comeback.
I don’t want to give out the message saying that putting on a lot of makeup can make a person beautiful or attractive. But with right grooming methods, hair style, makeup and a new outfit it can make an enormous difference. It’s true that when you look good, you feel good. People appreciate it a little more if you, at least, make the effort.
You should have confidence no matter what you look like but, alas, that’s not always true. It’s a bit sad if you want to make yourself be different than who you really are. A personality is an excellent form of beauty. In the shop where I work, that’s what we try to do. Sometimes you can see a real change in the person when you have made a positive change on the outside for them. It’s what makes this job so good for me.
