It’s really up to the individual in all cases when it comes to wearing makeup. Some people absolutely hate wearing it, while others wouldn’t leave the house without some on. Some people wear it simply because they feel they have to.
While there is no case where you ever should feel forced to wear makeup, here are four instances when you just might want to.
Your Wedding Day
You, as the bride, are the center of attention on your wedding day. You want to feel confident and beautiful when you walk down that aisle in front of all of those people. If wearing makeup makes you feel comfortable, then go for it.
You may want to consider getting your makeup professionally done when it comes to your wedding day. Pros know more about things like contouring, and they can pick the perfect colors for you to wear, from blush to lip color.
Girls’ Night Out
Having a night on the town with the girls? What better time to play around with your makeup look. Try a new lipstick or a new eyeshadow. This is a great time to go a little overboard, or experiment, since it’s just a fun night out with friends.
Maybe you can make part of the night out a makeover, whether you do it as a group at home or you go someplace to get your makeup professionally done.
That First Date
While you want a guy to get to know the real you on your first date, even those that don’t generally wear makeup may want to put a little bit on. If you blush easily you might want to try some color correcting CC cream and a color of blush that matches your natural blushing so that you look pretty instead of red!
What type of makeup and how much of it you wear can also depend on the type of date you are going on. Casual date? Keep your makeup casual. Doing something a little fancier? Put on some lipstick.
Halloween
Halloween is an excellent time to experiment with makeup and new looks. The week building up to the big day could be a week filled with a new look each day. You don’t even need to buy Halloween or theatrical makeup for it either.
You can use normal, everyday, makeup to create all kinds of looks. Use some purple and yellow eyeshadows to create the look of two black eyes. Purchase the palest color of concealer stick to make your face look extra pale, and use a bright red lipstick on your lips (or even a lip stain) to make it look like you’re a vampire that just finished a fresh kill.
Makeup doesn’t always have to be about “beauty.” Have fun with it, try new looks, and if you prefer to go without it that is your right!
