Present Ideas for all the family…including baby nephews who are cute but do very little!

Another Christmas has been and gone, and the only thing in my house that is thankful to see the back of the holiday season is my purse! With a family that’s grown massively in recent years, with increasing numbers of nephews, nieces and friends’ kids, Christmas has become very expensive. When I was 27 I attended 10 weddings in one year and now, a few years on, they all have children. It brings to mind the episode in Sex and the City where Carrie decided to send a gift list because she’s not getting married….so funny!

I digress though… I love giving gifts, but as the years go on it’s becoming more stressful and my purse is pretty empty by the end of it all. Add to the fact that I work long hours and don’t finish work until the 24th of December, shopping for the presents isn’t always that fun. Call me Scrooge but there is no way I am going anywhere near any shops on a Saturday in the month of December. So this year, I chose to venture into the world of online shopping…

The obvious Go To  sites are Amazon or Ebay, but this year I thought I would shop around. After all, they are not the only online suppliers out there, and whilst I can buy most things from them, I wanted to find presents a little different this year – a touch more unique.

In my search I came across this fabulous website that not only sells some great products, but is also considerably cheaper than most other sites I have found! So I thought, in the spirit of sales shopping, I would kindly share my findings with you…

Introducing…Streethub!

Don’t just take my word for it, check out Streethub! The list of products available on the site is endless – not just for the kids in my family, but I managed to find some fab pressies for loads of my friends and other family members as well! One great thing about Streethub is that it has some really unique gift options from bespoke boutiques, and not just the 10-a-penny high-street products.

My Nephew’s Present – a Real Bargain!

My new baby nephew is 4 months old. He doesn’t do much but he’s not a whinger, and he is incredibly cute and cuddly. I struggle sometimes choosing presents for babies because, firstly, I don’t have my own kids yet so know very little about babies and, secondly, well…they’re babies, and don’t do much except eat, sleep, cry and poo!

So I asked my sister-in-law for advice, and she informed me that my nephew really likes lights.

Voila! What could be better for a 4 month old who loves lights than a turtle that projects stars around the room that change colour!

And what could be better for the cash-strapped auntie than finding the product £2.45 cheaper on Streethub than Amazon? OK, so £2.45 can’t even buy me a large glass of wine at my local, but if I could save £2.45 on every Christmas purchase I make, I could probably afford a house. Well, perhaps not, but definitely new shoes!

But competitive prices isn’t the only great thing about Streethub; they offer a Click and Collect service, so you can shop from the comfort of your own home, pop along to the shop and pick up the gift. I like Click and Collect because I can check the product out there and then, and return it immediately if it’s not exactly what I want (not that I had that problem this year though! Lucky me!). Also, Streethub offers same day delivery on many products, so if you’re running a little behind schedule this is a great way to ease stress, although ff same day isn’t on offer, they also have the standard shipping to anywhere in the UK.

So, You’d Recommend It?

YES! (Am I having a Gollum-like conversation with myself here?)

Instead of running round like a crazy person leading up to the festive season next year, you can sit back, relax and enjoy a few glasses of wine with the money you’ve saved by shopping on Streethun. Simples!
